Joining the Omega Phi Alpha chapter of Delta Upsilon
New member education, commonly known as pledging, occurs once a student decides to go Greek, and a fraternity/sorority decides that they would like that particular student to become a part of their house.
At Omega Phi DU new member education describes the time period in which prospective new members mold themselves into brothers. This six to eight week period is highly structured to give you a foundation on which to grow on. You will learn time management, study skills, and a great deal of history, just to name a few. New member education also gives you a chance to learn what it takes to become a leader and how much work it takes to run a fraternity of our caliber.
The values our members have learned through the new member education process have helped our brothers develop into prominent leaders on campus, and throughout the state. We have engineers working at multi-billion dollar companies like Cisco and many others throughout the state. You're not an engineer? How about working for the Stockton Police Department through Pacific's Sociology Department or working with the physically/mentally disabled through the Psychology Department? These are just a few of the academic areas dominated by Omega Phi's here at the University of The Pacific.
Do
you like sports? Our chapter has had a huge success in athletic endeavors since
the days of the UOP Football Team. Brothers have been, or are currently on
teams such as tennis, water polo, soccer, golf, swimming, rugby, lacrosse, cheer
and stunt, and many others. Even if intercollegiate sports aren't your thing,
we have had a strong presence in intramurals since the very beginning.

Regardless of what your "thing" is, Omega Phi DU can be the place for you. The makeup of our house is as diverse as it comes, and this shows in everything we do. If developing leadership skills and having a blast at the same time sounds like something that works for you, dare to stand out and be remembered as a bulldog!
